Adam Gavsie, MD CFPC ABIHM ABOIM is a family physician who completed his medical degree and Family Medicine residency at McGill University. He started his career practicing Rural and First Nations Medicine in some of Canada’s remotest areas including northern Ontario, Nunavik (northern Quebec) and the Yukon Territory. His yoga background propelled him to explore Integrative and Holistic Medicine, which then led to training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and instructor certification in Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga. He is an Integrative Medicine fellow through the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He is a lifetime diplomate of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine and he has also become a diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Medicine (newly formed in 2013) in the US as of 2016. He is currently studying the principles of Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine in the USA and incorporating these elements into his practice, which include searching for the root cause of disease and an individualized approach to health. Dr. Gavsie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at McGill University and is spearheading an initiative to expand the presence of complementary and integrative medicine at the undergraduate and postgraduate medical levels.  The first major event was The McGill Complementary Health Symposium in June 2016. He has been actively involved in teaching medical students and residents at the MCIM and at the faculty of medicine. Dr. Gavsie founded the MCIM in 2009 and acted as medical director until its closure in June 2017.
Elliot Jacobson, MD CFPC(EM) obtained his medical degree at University of Alberta, then completed his residency in Family and Emergency Medicine at McGill University. He has a longstanding interest in Integrative Medicine and continues to pursue further education in the field. He is a member of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine. He is currently studying and practicing functional medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine. He is also a certified Yoga instructor who aspires to incorporate its ideals and lessons into his practice and daily life. He is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents from the Université de Montreal and McGill here at the clinic as well as Santa Cabrini Hospital ER, where he works part time. Dr. Jacobson left the MCIM in 2016 and is currently working at P3 Integrative Health in Toronto.
Francois Guy Doré, MD has been thoroughly invested in bringing together the best of contemporary conventional medicine with complementary healing arts for the last 35 years. He completed his medical degree at l’Université de Montréal in 1977 and rapidly developed a passion for integrative medicine, successively studying acupuncture, osteopathy, homeopathy, naturopathic medicine and functional medicine. He is the founder of the first multidisciplinary Integrative Medicine Center in the province of Québec in 1978. Dr. Doré is no longer practicing medicine.
